She holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), a postgraduate specialization in Chemistry Education from Faculdade Líbano, and a degree in Chemistry Education from the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ). Her research activities are focused on organic synthesis, with expertise in the rational design, synthesis, purification, and structural characterization of bioactive small molecules. She has particular experience in the development of nitrogen- and sulfur-containing heterocyclic scaffolds with potential antiparasitic activity.
