The newly synthesized compounds were characterized\u00a0by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS. In addition, we evaluated the in vitro antimicrobial\u00a0activity against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis\u00a0and Enterococcus faecium) and Gram- negative (<em>Escherichia coli, Enterobacter\u00a0cloacea, Klebisiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>)\u00a0bacterial strains. The bioassay results indicate that the compounds namely 5\u00a0and 6 proved active against Gram-positive strains (standard and clinical) in\u00a0comparison with reference drugs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Orbital: Electron.
