He was a Post-Doctoral fellow (FAPESP) at University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2001- 2002). He was Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the Faculty Estacio de S\u00e1 (Campo Grande, MS, Brazil) from 2002 to 2006. In 2006 he was appointed Assistant Professor of the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (Campo Grande, MS, Brazil). He received a post-doctoral fellowship from Fundaci\u00f3n Carolina (Spain) to work in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usc.es\/ciqus\/es\/grupos\/nanobiomol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela<\/a>, Spain (Nov\/2009-Feb\/2010). He was a visiting scholar in the <a href=\"https:\/\/chemistry.harvard.edu\/people\/e-j-corey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Professor Corey\u00b4s Research Group<\/a>&nbsp;(Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 1990) at Harvard University (<a href=\"https:\/\/chemistry.harvard.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology<\/a>) from Aug\/2018 to Aug\/2019. Currently, working as a Full Professor at Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and research advisor in the Master and Doctoral degree programs in Chemistry, Pharmacy and Biotechnology. Experienced in organic synthesis, mainly in the following subjects: i) synthesis of resorcinolic lipids (cytosporones) and bioactive cage-like polycyclic compounds; ii) synthesis and evaluation of new antimicrobials; iii) chemical transformations of bioactive natural products, and iv) glycerol and cardanol exploitation. He is interested in Fine Chemistry and some issues of Biotechnology. He has a Productivity Research Fellow from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) since 2012, currently at level 2. He is the founder and inaugural editor-in-chief of journal Orbital: The Electronic Journal of Chemistry (<a href=\"https:\/\/periodicos.ufms.br\/index.php\/orbital\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/periodicos.ufms.br\/index.php\/orbital\/index<\/a>).
