Completed a Master\u2019s in Organic Chemistry at the University of Malakand, Pakistan, in 2005, followed by a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Braga, in 2014. He successfully completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Chemistry at UFSC, under the guidance of Prof. Braga. He is currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. He has both interest and experience in C-H activation, chalcogenation of heterocyclic compounds, photochemistry applied to organic synthesis, and the synthesis of small molecules of pharmacological interest that incorporate sustainable chemistry principles.He has extensive experience in Organic Synthesis, with a focus on Green Chemistry, Photochemistry, the synthesis and reactivity of organochalcogens, and bioactive molecules of selenium and tellurium. He holds a CNPq Fellowship \u2013 Level 2 (from March 2021 to February 2024, and from March 2024 to February 2027). He has authored 80 scientific articles in prestigious journals and has an H-index of 30. He has supervised three master&#8217;s students and one doctoral student. He holds six patent applications and has successfully coordinated four scientific projects with secured funding.He is currently an Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences \u2013 ABC (2023-2027), a Member of the American Chemical Society \u2013 ACS (2014-present), an Affiliate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry \u2013 AMRSC (2014-2019), and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry \u2013 MRSC (2019-present). He also serves on the editorial boards of several international chemistry journals.
